Tina Fischl successful once again

At the Mattighofen City Run, personal trainer and endurance specialist Tina Fischl of WSV Otterskirchen once again delivered an impressive performance. The main race covered a distance of ten kilometers and consisted of three laps. The course proved especially demanding, with two steep climbs per lap that challenged all competitors.

From the very start, Tina Fischl controlled the strong woman’s field. After only a few hundred meters, she moved into the lead and went to dominate the race with confidence. Already in the first lap, Fischl ran faster than the eventual winner of the short city loop. She maintained her high pace consistently throughout the remaining two laps and ultimately won the main race with a commanding lead of around three minutes.

Particularly remarkable is the fact that Tina Fischl has held the course record on this route for several years now – a record that remains unbroken to this day. Accordingly, she was very satisfied with her performance after the race. Additional motivation for the experienced athlete comes from the fact that the runner-up was significantly younger.

ORLEN half marathon in Linz

ORLEN half marathon in Linz

Strong Performance despite a tough challenge:
Tina Fischl sets new record at the Linz half marathon

At this year’s ORLEN half marathon in Linz on Sunday, April 12, elite athlete and personal trainer Tina Fischl from Fürstenstein once again impressively demonstrated her fighting spirit. Competing for WSV Otterskirchen, she lined up alongside more than 21,000 participants at the start of this major sporting event, which offered perfect running conditions and an outstanding atmosphere.

Following a strong half marathon performance four weeks earlier in Wels, her goal was clearly defined: to build on her personal best. Motivation was high, as were expectations. However, it became apparent early in the race that this would be a particularly demanding day for the athlete. The leading runner quickly pulled away and delivered an outstanding race. After running in second place for a long time, Tina Fischl had to let one competitor pass her as the race progressed. Nevertheless, with great determination and mental strength, she secured an excellent third place overall, crossing the finish line confidently. The race was crowned by another remarkable achievement: in the W50 age group, Tina Fischl set a new Lower Bavarian half marathon record. This result clearly underlines her athletic performance and discipline. Notably, the two athletes finishing ahead of her competed in the W30 age group, while Fischl dominated her own age category with a lead of more than 13 minutes.

As an experienced athlete and personal trainer, Tina Fischl knows that not every race goes perfectly — yet it is precisely these races that reveal true strength. Looking ahead, she remains focused: “Now it’s time to keep training — the next races will surely come.” With this performance, she sends a strong message once again, proving that perseverance, experience, and mental toughness are decisive factors in sport.
